Practice Policy
We
endeavor to provide:
- A friendly, welcoming and relaxed environment
We aim to provide a calming, comfortable environment to ensure you feel relaxed and at ease during your visit to us.
- Receptive, knowledgeable and approachable staff
All our staff are trained and will be happy to help you in any way, or answer any questions you may have.
- Punctual appointments
We will always endeavour to see you at the time of your appointment. However, emergencies can occur, and the nature of some medical procedures may cause a slight delay to your appointment time and we will always endeavour to advise you if this should happen. If you wish, we can re-arrange your appointment.
- Quality treatment
Most treatments are available on the NHS and are carried out in accordance with NHS regulations. The NHS also recognises that it does not provide a fully comprehensive scheme, particularly in relation to cosmetic treatments and patients are always advised of the options available to enable them to make an informed choice.
- Continuity of care from familiar staff
We always attempt to maintain the same staff at practice so you get to know them and can build a trusting relationship. Your clinical history is fully documented within our computerised surgeries should another dentist need take over your care. This information will remain confidential and not disclosed to any source outside of the Practice.
- Minimal Discomfort
We are all too aware that dental work can be daunting and un-nerving for some patients. We always look to provide treatment with the least amount of discomfort and shortest recovery period possible. If you have any concerns, please mention them to your dentist who will be happy to explain the procedure to you if you wish and to discuss alternative options for pain-relief.
In return we ask that our patient:
- Keep to their allocated appointment time
Please arrive on time for you appointment. If you need to cancel an appointment, please give us at least 24 hours notice. A broken commitment or late cancellation will incur a charge and may prevent us offering the appointment to another patien. We always try our best to delay you as little as possible.
- Are co-operative
We will be as flexible and accommodating for you as we can. We may be able to often suit your schedule better if you let us know in advance whether you are unable to meet your commitment and re arrange at your convenience.
- Attend regularly
Through regular attendance we are able to diagnose and implement any necessary treatment at an early stage, preventing more serious problems arising later on.
- Maintain good oral hygiene
By looking after your teeth between appointments you will minimise time spent at the dentist and also reduce the likelihood of needing any extensive treatment. This will save you discomfort and cost.
- Are not abusive or aggressive to our staff
Please respect our busy staff. They are here to make your visit as smooth, quick and comfortable as possible and will work to ensure you receive the best service. Minty Pearls Dental Clinic reserves the right to refuse treatment to any patient who behaves in an unsuitable manner.
- Should you need to complain
Minty Pearls Dental Clinic will take your grievance very seriously. We have an in-house complaints procedure which is designed to address your needs.
- Keep your account up-to-date
Please be prepared to pay for any treatment at each visit. Your dentist will always explain and discuss any treatment require and will inform you of the appropriate costs.
