Gum Contouring
Many people feel that they have too much gum showing when they talk and smile but with a relatively short procedure this can be addressed and the amount of gum on show can be reduced giving you mouth and smile a more balanced appearance.
To rectify this issue we use lasers to reshape and lift the gum. This is a fast and low-pain procedure with minimal or no bleeding.
This treatment can also be part of a Smile Makeover when combined with some of our other cosmetic dentistry treatments.

What are the benefits of gum contouring?
Gum contouring is also beneficial in helping to reduce the risk of oral infections or gum disease due to bacteria hiding in excess gum tissue. Our dentists will cover a thorough consultation with you prior to the treatment to make sure we achieve your oral health and aesthetic goals.
What will happen during my gum contouring appointment?
To prepare for the procedure a mild local anaesthetic will be applied and then your teeth and gums will be cleaned and dried. We will use a laser to carefully remove the excess gum tissue until the desired gum line is achieved. There is minimal bleeding as the tissue is sealed as the laser passes over.
