Because the strength of a peel determines the level of penetration, the nature of destruction, and the inflammatory response, a Medium-depth Chemical Peel causes moderate destruction and offers intermediate results when compared to a Superficial Peel.
Medium-depth chemical peels
Deep peels remove the epidermis and the upper dermis. As these are deeper peels, the results are more dramatic and longer lasting.
How long will results last?
Results will last for between 4-6 weeks. For best results a course of six treatments is recommended.
How long will my skin take to recover?
You can expect mild swelling, redness, scabbing, cracking, flaking, and peeling in the days after your chemical peel. Often skin may also turn a darker shade and become stiff before it begins the peeling process. The downtime before your skin is restored can be anywhere from 7 to 10 days depending on how quickly your skin heals.
How long will the procedure take?
The procedure takes about 30 minutes.
