In general Microdermabrasion is not a treatment that causes any pain. The sensation it gives can be described as a very light suction from the vacuum being rolled over the skin.

One of the great things about microdermabrasion is that there’s no down time!

We would not recommend this treatment for those who have active acne, as this can spread the condition across the face, however other than this there are no constraints on who can have microdermabrasion.

Microdermabrasion

Crystals are applied to the skin and immediately vacuumed away to gently exfoliate and remove dead skin cells from the top layer of the skin. A small handheld vacuum tool is used to allow the crystals to work into the skin and stimulate collagen production, giving the skin a plumped, refreshed look.
