Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening treatments can help you achieve that dazzling white smile you've always wanted.
We can whiten your teeth at our practice or we can give you a kit to do in your own time at home. This changes the colour of the tooth enamel and removes both surface stains and those deeper in the teeth.
Our system can whiten stained or discoloured teeth by up to eight shades whilst maintaining the tooth enamel to help you achieve that beautiful dazzling smile.
We do in surgery whitening a little bit differently. We will produce custom made bleaching trays for you so you can maintain your whitening regime after your in-chair whitening. We will also give you two syringes of the whitening solution to take home. This is to insure the long lasting effect of whitening and allow you to top up when necessary.
FAQs
How long do teeth whitening treatments last?
Teeth whitening isn’t a permanent treatment but you can help to prevent stains from forming by avoiding common staining culprits such as coffee, red wine and high sugar diets.
Is it painful?
Some people experience sensitive teeth and gums or a sore throat for a short time following their treatment. Talk to us about ways to manage this, especially if you know you suffer from tooth sensitivity.
I've had fillings applied in the past, does this affect the whitening treatment?
When you’ve had bonding or tooth-coloured fillings in your front teeth, bleaching may not work as well. The bleach will not affect the colour of these materials, so they will stand out if you whiten the rest of your teeth.
Always talk to your dentist before you use any tooth-whitening product, especially if you have many fillings, crowns, or very dark stains.
